Key Topics in Addressing the COVID-19 Pandemic, Part 2: Scientific Issues and the Hierarchy of Controls (AIHce EXP 2021 OnDemand)
Course Description:
Recorded at AIHce EXP 2021

This panel will address the importance of understanding aerosol transmission of SARS CoV-2 by describing the sampling, animal, medical, epidemiologic and other data that have established the importance of this mode of transmission. The implications for workplace health and safety require that we focus on eliminating or minimizing all possible sources through robust testing programs and thoughtful revisions to work and workplace design. The panel will also review the use of half face elastomeric respirators as an alternative to disposable filtering facepiece respirators and the use of engineering and administrative controls in various industries.
