All About Leading, Lagging, and Predictive Indicators (AIHce EXP 2021 OnDemand)
Course Description:
Recorded at AIHce EXP 2021

The safety and industrial hygiene world has been rapidly transitioning to using performance leading indicators versus lagging indicators to better predict and affect future performance through the data. There is still a significant amount of confusion over what makes an indicator leading or lagging, and what to do with leading indicators once they are implemented. This session will provide a clear definition of what makes an indicator fall into one category or another, and provide strategies for utilizing both leading and lagging data to predict future performance and affect positive change to S&H programs.

Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of the session, the participant will be able to:
  • Distinguish leading indicators from lagging indicators.
  • Determine indicators that have leading and lagging characteristics.
  • Leverage data collection to facilitate predictive analysis.
  • Utilize OEHS knowledge to critique and bolster predictive analysis.
