Recorded in June 2020, this PDC addresses the need for young EHS professionals (5-15 years of experience) to expand their technical knowledge and professional experiences. This digital plant tour explores and guides young professionals through numerous IH, safety, and environmental issues found at a fictitious workplace. Multiple forms of visual and audio media are used to review and discuss the diverse regulatory EHS compliance issues noted during the speakers' many years of audits and assessments. Attendees will actively engage on how to: a) recognize the various EHS issues noted; b) find the issues in the regulations; c) develop audit findings; and d) make corrective action recommendations. Case histories and team activities will allow participants to put what they learn into action. A full slate of EHS topics is covered from abrasive wheel to subpart Z to air pollution to underground storage tanks. This is a fresh and innovative session where young professionals can press pause on textbook theory and experience real-world scenarios.

Upon completion, learners will be able to:
  • Enhance their recognition skills for various workplace EHS issues.
  • Speak with their team and classmates on various EHS topics.
  • Manage OSHA and EPA standards, compliance directives, and letters of interpretations.
  • Apply OSHA and EPA regulations as they pertain to the topics presented.
  • Develop a list of findings presented in the audit scenario.
  • Describe the various noncompliance issues noted in the photographic tour.
  • Discuss various types of corrective action(s) that might apply to a given scenario.
