Recorded in June 2020, this PDC will: a) build on the foundations of the hierarchy of OELs; b) teach how to navigate existing data resources and relevant tools for developing health-based occupational limits for chemicals that lack toxicology data; and c) address three methods (read-across, threshold of toxicological concern (TTC), hazard correlation).

Strengthen your ability to establish relevant health based limits and evaluate your workplaces. Upon completion, students will be able to:

  • Identify key resources for finding hazard data relevant to deriving OELs. .
  • Apply current frameworks for read-across to select chemical analogs for a chemical. .
  • Develop a health-based quantitative limit using correlation methods and the Threshold of Toxicological Concern method.
