Are you looking to enhance your IH practice to promote well-being and engage more people in solution design? Are you looking for a method to develop a business case for solutions so you can justify the resources needed to carry them out? This session provides an introduction to a free, evidence-based program toolkit that provides the resources you need to bring your IH practice to the next level. The program toolkit was developed and field tested by university researchers at a Total Worker Health Center for Excellence. Attendees will identify tools for involving employees at all levels and resources to elevate group facilitation skills for deep and sustained engagement. There will be a demonstration of a business case planning tool (the Intervention Design and Analysis Scorecard or "IDEAS" Tool) that can help you develop integrated, effective safety solutions that align with important organizational goals. Join the discussion to learn if these tools might be right for your health and safety program.
Upon completion, the participant will be able to:
• Describe the difference between traditional OSH practice and Total Worker Health.
• Identify the advantages to H&S outcomes of engaging front line workers in the process.
• Select two online resources to use for strengthening meeting facilitation skills.
• Evaluate the components of a participatory TWH online program toolkit.
