This session will present information on new and/or newly improved sampling and laboratory analysis standards in the fields of workplace air, indoor environmental quality, and asbestos, from standards development organizations such as ASTM International, ISO, and others. The focus will be on what is new within the last 2-3 years, and how these standards can be of benefit to industrial hygienists, laboratory personnel, industry and government risk assessors, risk managers and other stakeholders. A brief discussion on what is still needed, and how interested parties can participate in standards development will be included.
