Awareness of PCBs as a potential contaminant of concern in the built environment continues to grow. There is increasing evidence that many public, residential, and commercial buildings built or renovated between 1950 and 1979 may be impacted by the unauthorized use of PCBs in caulks, paints, mastics, and other building materials. This guideline is intended to provide guidance on the anticipation, recognition, evaluation, and control of PCBs in the built environment. |
