Recorded at AIHce 2017 Part 1 provides information on the value and the need for accreditation through: 1. an overview of ISO 17025 and how 2017 changes will affect the laboratory community.Part 2 provides information on operational excellence through: 1. efficiently implementing ISO 17025.Part 3 is titled,Times They Are a Changing. This section covers: 1. Overcoming our Legacy Concerns – Embracing Mobile and Field Sampling and Measurement Organizations. Laboratory sampling and measurements are increasingly moving away from brick and mortar laboratories. Although our traditional laboratories will remain for the foreseeable future, we need to understand the role of portable laboratory measurements.Part 4 focuses on the AIHA Laboratory Accreditation Programs. The quality of analytical laboratory data is critical to good decisions affecting worker health and safety. The AIHA Laboratory Accreditation Programs are instrumental in setting quality standards and working with the laboratory community to ensure data quality. This session will provide attendees a synopsis of AIHA LAP activities, strategic plan for the next 3 years, and recognition of key members of the AIHA laboratory community.
