Data Based Approach to Improve Research Safety
The UC Center for Laboratory Safety (UCCLS) was established in response to a tragic accident. While implementing changes research laboratory safety programs, it became clear that little to no published data existed to evaluate safety measures. UCCLS aims to fill this gap by conducting and promoting research on laboratory safety. This presentation will provide an overview over UCCLS's incident analysis at a large university.

Each statistical approach has strengths and limitations, and the appropriate choice and use of each tool depends on the circumstances and data.
