Earn 1 Contact Hour

While mold remediation guidelines are available for finished buildings, these are not applicable during the construction, where site conditions and objectives are very different. This session presents construction-specific procedures for assessing water-damaged areas, restoring affected materials, verifying a site is free of mold growth, and dealing with basic construction objectives (schedule, budget). Questions to be addressed in this section include: Can mold sampling be relied on to assess and clear construction mold?. What are acceptable alternatives to full containment? Who is qualified to remediate mold and how should they be protected? What precautions are needed to protect other trades working in the area? and What procedures and criteria can be used to verify remediation?
